Townsville Storms is an organisation based in Townsville Queensland. This page has been set up to provide weather related information to its subscribers within it's coverage areas. In addition, Townsville Storms also encourages social interaction and subscribers are quite welcome to post weather related comments and photos to our wall.
It's website, www.townsvillestorms.com is Townsville and Northern Queensland's first storm chasing website commencing way back in 2003. It was founded by Shane Williams who has been chasing severe weather since 1984.
Since Facebook is a well known medium for information sharing, creating a fan page was a good idea. Townsville Storms is managed by 9 administrators and may look at seeking new administrators in the future

Apart from our website, photos of any type of weather event can be viewed on this fan page. Feel free to make comments which are relevant to this page and share it with others.

Important Disclaimer: Weather forecasts that are posted to this site (Townsville Storms) are official forecasts set out by the Bureau Of Meteorology www.bom.gov.au. We will endeavour to post any updates as quickly as possible. Subscribers are welcome to post any updates should they feel it is necessary to do so.
This page is heavily moderated. Any use of profanity or comments which may offend other subscribers will be deleted.
Any comments or messages that are of an attacking nature against administrators or fellow subscribers of this page will also result in the banning of the user or page. Excessive posting is considered spam and again the user or page will be banned without warning.
